1. Privacy summary

CDM is a general-purpose download manager designed around local processing and user control.

  • CDM does not contain advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking.
  • CDM does not require or create a Cydelora account.
  • Cydelora does not operate a backend that receives your download links, browsing history, downloaded files, or saved website sessions.
  • Cydelora does not sell or rent personal information.

2. Information handled by CDM

Download requests and source information

When you paste, share, open, or download a link, CDM processes the URL and the information returned by the selected website. This may include titles, thumbnails, available formats, file names, media details, and download status. This information is used to analyze the request, present available choices, complete the download, and maintain local history.

Website browsing and saved sessions

CDM includes an in-app browser. Websites opened in that browser may place cookies or similar session data on your device according to their own privacy policies.

If you choose to add a website under Accounts, sign-in information is submitted directly to that website. CDM does not operate the website, receive your password on a Cydelora server, or create a separate account. After sign-in, CDM can save the website's session cookies locally so that downloads may use access already authorized by that website. Saving a website session is optional.

Saved session data can be sensitive because it may represent an authenticated website session. Keep your device secured and remove a saved website when it is no longer needed.

Local history and settings

CDM stores the following information locally as needed to provide its features:

  • application preferences, such as theme, language, download folder, and network preferences;
  • browser history and saved website domains;
  • saved website-session information;
  • active-download recovery information;
  • download history, including source URLs, titles, output locations, format information, completion times, and error or warning details.

Downloaded files

Downloaded files are saved in the folder selected by you within the device's Downloads storage. Files in shared Downloads storage may be visible to other applications that have permission to access those files.

Network and technical update requests

CDM uses internet access to connect to links and websites selected by you. It may also check for and download compatible technical updates needed to keep website support and application performance current. These update requests do not intentionally include your download history, saved website sessions, or downloaded files.

As with ordinary internet traffic, a destination website, hosting provider, content-delivery network, or network operator may receive standard connection information such as your IP address, request time, and protocol headers. Their handling of that information is governed by their own policies.

CDM reads the device's current network state to support connectivity checks and the optional Wi-Fi-only setting. CDM does not request precise location, contacts, phone records, advertising identifiers, microphone access, or camera access.

3. How information is used

Information handled by CDM is used only to:

  • analyze user-requested links;
  • display available download choices;
  • download, merge, convert, validate, and save selected files;
  • resume or recover active downloads;
  • provide local browser, account-session, history, and settings features;
  • display download progress and completion notifications;
  • maintain compatibility, reliability, and security.

4. Data collection, sale, and sharing

Cydelora does not collect the locally stored application data described above through a Cydelora-operated backend. CDM does not sell personal information and does not share information for advertising or profiling.

Information may leave your device only in the following user-expected circumstances:

  • when CDM connects to a website or file host selected by you;
  • when a saved website session is sent back to the website that issued it as part of an authorized request;
  • when you choose to open or share a downloaded file with another application;
  • when the application performs a technical update check;
  • when you voluntarily contact Cydelora support and send information by email.

5. Permissions and device access

CDM may use Android capabilities for:

  • internet connectivity and network-state checks;
  • notifications about active and completed downloads;
  • foreground processing and temporary wake protection while a download is running;
  • saving files to Downloads;
  • legacy storage access on older Android versions where required by the operating system.

Permissions are used only for the related application feature. You can manage available permissions through Android system settings, although denying a permission may limit the corresponding feature.

6. Security

Private application data is stored inside Android's application sandbox, and application backup is disabled. CDM uses secure website connections when the selected destination provides them. If you choose a non-secure HTTP address, that connection is not encrypted; HTTPS sources are strongly recommended.

Cydelora applies reasonable technical safeguards, but no device, software, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining device security, screen locking, operating-system updates, and control over shared downloaded files.

7. Retention and deletion

  • Settings, browser history, account entries, session data, and download history remain on the device until removed through the application, cleared through Android settings, or removed by uninstalling CDM.
  • Browser data and saved sessions can be removed for an individual website from Settings without clearing unrelated websites.
  • Download-history entries and their associated files can be removed through the History screen where supported.
  • Temporary files may be removed automatically after processing or by Android storage management.
  • Uninstalling CDM removes its private application data, but files already saved in the public Downloads directory may remain until you delete them.
  • If you contact support, Cydelora retains the information you voluntarily provide only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain security, prevent abuse, satisfy legal obligations, or resolve the reported issue.

Because CDM does not create a Cydelora account, there is no separate cloud account or server-side download history to delete. You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting Cydelora, subject to applicable legal and security retention requirements.

8. Third-party websites and services

CDM is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for the websites you access through the application. Your use of a website remains subject to that website's terms, privacy policy, access controls, and content permissions. CDM does not bypass digital rights management or grant rights to content. Download only files and media that you own or are authorized to save.

9. Children's privacy

CDM is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age applicable in the user's country. Cydelora does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Cydelora-operated backend.

10. Your choices and rights

You can control local information by removing website data, clearing history, deleting downloaded files, managing Android permissions, or uninstalling the application. Depending on your location, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights. Questions or requests concerning information sent directly to Cydelora can be submitted using the contact details below.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when CDM's features, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated policy will include a revised date. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate application or publication channel when required.
